About Yarn Twigs & Tails

Hello, I'm Michelle — a lifelong crafter, self-taught maker, and the heart and hands behind Yarn Twigs & Tails, tucked away in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire, UK.

I've been making things for as long as I can remember. When my husband was away serving in the forces, I kept busy crafting birthday cards and personalised wooden name plaques for our children's rooms — tiny handmade pieces of home, made with a whole lot of love.

Life moved on, the children grew up, and for a while the crafting took a back seat. Then, about a year ago, I picked up a crochet hook — and everything clicked. My first makes were animal crochet door stops for family and friends, and the reaction was so lovely that they convinced me to start selling them. So here we are!

The wooden plaques have always been part of my story too. From personalised name plaques for my children's rooms all those years ago, to the beautifully designed freestanding plaques I create today — each one is made with care, character, and a whole lot of heart.

Which brings us to the name: Yarn for the crochet, Twigs for the wooden plaques, and Tails for the animals that sneak their way into almost everything I make.

Every piece is made entirely by hand, with love and a little bit of quirk. I hope you find something here that makes you smile.
